Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Phoenix Blood is a music loving male Hellfire wyvern. He has invented an instrument that is a dragon-sized cross between a piano and a drum kit. Phoenix has perfected playing this instrument with he refers to as a shnozlet (nobody actually knows how he came up with this name). Still, it cannot be argued that the shnozlet does not have a lovely sound, when it's Phoenix who's playing it! The shnozlet is Phoenix's pride and joy, and he has already made several replicas for the more musical-minded dragons.

  Phoenix Blood lives in a cave on the higher slopes of a volcano called "The Mouth Of Thorn". Here, tunes from his shnozlet can be heard echoing through the cave and across the valley beyond. On a fine day when the breeze is blowing from the north, a calming tune can be heard upon the wind, the sound of the shnozlet.

  Phoenix Blood is a kind, unusual dragon. He is popular with many due to his musical talent and ingenuity. Just to warn you, he hasn't made a human-sized shnozlet yet!
