Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling seems to be filled with a fell, inner flame.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Who's That Nobody knows... For a long time—eight years more or less—this tiny hatchling roamed the dragon-lands without finding a true family. None of the dragon clans would acknowledge him as a member. Not large enough, said the Collossuses. Not bright enough, said the Nebulas. Not green enough, said the Mints, though they at least offered him some food before sending him away. Lately the hatchling lives in the Copper Orphanage, but who knows when he will want to start his search again.
