Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Season of Sad Hearts is a male Magi dragon. He has a passion for making potions, which is a good thing and a bad thing. Season is not the greatest of potion makers and his potions often have some rather odd side effects. His apprentice, a female Ridgewing hatchling called Anna Kay, became unable to mature when she drank a potion that cured her of a cold. After that, none of the other dragons wanted to test Season's potions. Due to this, he now tests them on himself.

  Season of Sad Hearts lives in a cave in a mountain range named "The Dragon's Teeth". His cave is filled with cauldrons, jars of ingredients and a vast amount of potions stored in little glass tubes. Season's home is frequently filled with smoke of various hues and unnatural smells. He shares his home with Anna Kay.

  Season of Sad Hearts is a dreamer, but nobody can deny his determination to get all of his potions correctly made. Season never makes the same mistake twice, he always manages to find a new one to make!
