Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He is responsible, stealthy, perceptive, and highly intelligent. Edgar Topanok is able to set aside his emotions and focus on the rational task at hand, which means with his poise and observation skills he can unmake every trap before it's even sprung. Together with his clan member colleague and best friend, Billy Steward Mougly, who is a talented navigator, he explores new found territories for his clan to claim. He can dismantle any booby trap that has been set and even make them himself in his spare time to protect his clan. Edgar's serious and workaholic attitude makes him viewed by some clan members as too cold and boring. Edgar does has a tender side capable of love and compassion. This is shown through his collection of small things that remind him of his offspring that he has never met. He hopes he can meet all of them some day. Mostly eggs are forced to be abandoned or traded away by his scroll master. Eggs that perhaps are rare or can become hybrid dragons are kept sometimes.
