Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When the moon waxes past gibbous, this large Moonstone dragon seems like quite the lazy oaf. He moves little during both night and day. As a result of this inertia, his glow is especially strong, and he has many admirers who bring him plants in return for stories or small gifts of magic.

But when the moon wanes, he spreads his immense wings and takes to the sky, outshining the dwindling light of the moon. His followers spread the news: "The moon has fallen! Fear not!" For Mondfalln (as he is named) sweeps across the land as a beacon of safety, guiding travelers to port and protecting the weak. On the night of the new moon he never lands, roving ceaselessly to help the less fortunate. It is only when the moon shines bright that he returns to Dusk Divide Keep territory to bask on its high crags and wait to rise again.
