Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Lorand was the first dragon born in his cave and as such, he feels it is his job to run the place. He takes charge of organizing all the incoming and outgoing eggs and hatchlings. He likes to do all the teleporting himself, but sometimes allows the other Magi dragons in the cave to do it instead when he is tired. As the most senior Magi in his cave, he taught them how to master their abilities while they were young and is always proud when they perform well. Lorand also tries to boss around the other residents in the cave, but some of the more aggressive dragons do not take well to his meddling. Still, they respect his seniority and he enjoys his place as a self-appointed leader of his cave.
