Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Amphyr is Tempestost's best friend. The two were the only Skywings at the Breedery for a long time, and got close because of it. They often fly together—though it would be hard for others to tell that, because they consider that to mean remaining within eyeshot of each other.

Amphyr isn't quite vain, but he does invest a lot of time in his appearance. As a hatchling, he was picky and difficult, always worried that he wasn't consuming enough minerals to have a 'proper shine'. For some reason, he was convinced that if he encountered a wild Skywing, he would be laughed at unless he looked 'better' than they. As an adult, Amphyr is more confident, but still considers looking his best to be very important. He relies on magical help from Stormarden and other dragons to help him get aloft again after bathing in mineral springs lined with mana deposits, rolling around in meadows full of plants to burnish his scales, or other such 'beauty trips' to the ground.
