Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cave Elder Neries is the eldest and most experienced dragon in the cave. Her wisdom and leadership of the den has earned her much respect from even the rowdiest of the cave-dwellers. Once a terribly sick, abandoned hatchling, Neries was found and given unexpected aid from a human, who took her in, hid her, and raised her until she could no longer disguise her size. From there, the human relocated her into a large, spacious cave, and vowed to visit every day. To this day, the descendants of that human still keep that promise, sometimes bringing more neglected or abandoned dragons with them to place under Neries' care.

Under Neries' leadership, the cave has flourished in numbers, strength, and harmony.
