Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Pterelus is a brilliant blue dragon with dark sapphire eyes and two sets of wings. Rarely stopping his travels on the wing, he is easily one of the swiftest dragons in the air. Using his wings well, he can swoop upon a village and be gone in a flash before anyone notices. Pterelus is a very quiet dragon that spends much of his time deep in thought. He is not one to fight, and if he feels threatened, he will more often use his speed to flee rather than fight. Pterelus rarely speaks to others, but he does seem to have an affinity for travel. He loves nothing more than to fly away to new and exotic lands far away from the cave. However, Pterelus always returns back to the cave, where he delights in showing the hatchlings mementos of his adventures. While he is mostly silent towards the other dragons, he is still widely liked and respected among the other dragons in the cave. When he does speak, Pterelus proves himself to be both wise and kind, a very gentle dragon that no one should fear.
