Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Running Winds is the Alpha Male of the Whiptail dragons in his cave.

He is compulsive and passionate, his mood alternating between fury and gently caring. He is not a very good decision-maker, but at least he is well aware of this fact.  While seen in a less noble light than other Alphas, Running Winds remains quite popular.  If anyone ever needs a pick-me-up, or someone to snap them out of whatever ditch they've fallen into, he will find a way to make them feel all better.

He loves to spend his time flying in heavy winds, always challenging himself to fly farther and faster.  On calmer, less exhilarating days, he practices his hunting skills, using superior speed and agility to track down the smaller prey.

Running Winds, with all his passion, frequently finds himself longing for a mate who will share his love for speed and will be there throughout his powerful mood swings.
