Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its skin is smooth and doesn’t seem to have any color to it.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Taggi is often described as being a young genius, known particularly for his amazing skills in a complex system of logic he calls "math". His logic both baffles and inspires the other dragons in his clan, many of which became determined to match his incredible understanding. Despite his renowned talent, he has great difficulty communicating with others, and he is unable to form strong social connections with his clanmates. His obsession with "math" at an early age drove away any interest toward learning to speak a human or dragon language, leaving him only capable of communicating with strange symbols called "numbers". He claims to have discovered "numbers" through secretly watching humans perform mathematical exercises in their villages. Taggi's work has influenced the dragon philosopher Masabaprotin, who also studies the nature of mathematical logic.
