Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has large frills on its head.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Guardian of New Blood was found as an egg quite by accident when the Caregiver thought shed picked up a completely different egg.  Guard Father soon convinced her that she would need the small egg, so she brought it into the Caves.  Upon his hatching, he was found to be a quicker thinking frill than his larger brothers had been, so he was given a more subtle task: caring for the seasonal New Blood dragons.

Guardian of New Blood understands the mercurial nature of his dragon wards that do not quite fit in with their stalwart, lineaged brothers and sisters.   He can often be found rousing their passions with ancient epics, soothing their fears with songs, or tempting their tastes with exotic catches.   He also enjoys human children's games like fox and geese or nine man morris.
