Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Flicka Unreined was quite a sweet dragon until she discovered she had wings (since they're always on her back). Then she went completely EVIL! She trampled her trainer (he was a pancake after that) and flew off to terrorize some civilians for no reason. Since gossip spread quickly, the people had already known about the poor now pancake-ish trainer, and ran and screamed at the top of their lungs, "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES! PYSCHO MANIAC HORSE DRAGON THINGY ON THE LOOSE! AAAAAHHHHH!" She got bored after a while, so Flicka Unreined went in search of a cave of dragons to terrorize, but Mint Milkshake, a mint dragon, dropped a coconut on her head and knocked her out. After that, Flicka returned to her old self, though the other dragons in the cave make a mental note not to get on her bad side, because she is angered easily.
