Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Widely known as "The Dragon of the Dry Hills," Vathorin's home of choice is a barren patch of wasteland, a series of sharp-sided crags and dusty riverbeds. While it would be easy enough for a dragon to hide among the worn slopes, Vathorin seems to delight in doing exactly the opposite, harrying travelers who pass through his territory and stealing no small amount of their belongings. These attacks are non-lethal in nature, Vathorin rarely doing worse damage than nipping at horses or slicing holes in wagon-canvas, but the sight of a full-grown copper bearing down upon oneself is still more than terrifying; most merchants have since elected to use different paths through the desert accordingly. Some attribute the dragon's behavior to cruelness, but in truth Vathorin is simply the proud father of a new batch of eggs, and would rather not have any other creatures around while he rears them... not to mention the mischievous dragon finds pestering people rather fun.
