Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kaerlyth was the first hatchling taken under Leikarah's wing after she grew up, and she's been a fundamental part of the horde ever since. She is slightly darker than most Reds, massive, horribly intimidating, and covered in scars, all traits that lend themselves well to her brash and abrasive personality. Kaerlyth has an incredibly short fuse, as many of her breed do, and will often be caught in the midst of a fire-spewing rage. She is incredibly loyal, if more than a little gruff, but she is also easy to deceive with elaborate lies. While she may not be the wisest dragon of the horde, she is most certainly the strongest, and enforces anything that Leikarah needs. She's pretty much the muscle of the horde, and don't you forget it.
