Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Donoma—"sight of the sun:" so named because she is always the first Sunset dragon in her realm to soar from her daytime hiding place, out into the waning light of dusk.  Donoma is a creature of great habit and little impulse, considered wise and prudent by most who know her; but they would recant their opinion if they knew the truth.  For though her realm is that of the nighttime, Donoma Arun is the lifetime mate of the Sunrise dragon, Nishant.  Their love is shared only in secret, hidden from the eyes of their respective families.  They meet during the brief blending of night and day, at the first tendrils of light at dawn and the last rays at dusk, where their worlds of extremes fade to gray and touch—ever so gently—in the middle.
