Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The circumstances of Oleril's conception have been adamantly hidden from public knowledge, as he was never supposed to be born. He was born to a queen who had little interest in mating due to the politics surrounding who mates with who, and yet somehow here he is. He was quickly cast out and abandoned in order to preserve his mother's reputation and in some ways to protect him from the claws and teeth of his mother's suitors. However, given how young he was he didn't understand what was going on. This led to him becoming more distrustful of other dragons. Little is known about his father other than he was a Caveborn who was quite the charmer.

Oleril himself shares the affinity for melodic vocalizations with those of his breed. He tries his best to stay positive and bring joy to others through his calls. He doesn't really like the company of others given his history. There are, however, a small handful of dragons that he can consider his friends, as well as the human who helped raise him.
