Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Bella's Wheelcheese is quite the oddity. After hearing a tale quite amusing, Star decided to name this cheese dragon after one of the errors in the story. Of course, as she began to write, Celestial Daydream flitted by on her cloud, causing Star to think 'Bella' instead of 'Dally'. And so before she went on her journey in dreamland, she wrote 'Bella's Wheelcheese' as the name on her recordkeeping scroll. The dragon was not amused in any way. Wheelcheese identifies themself as neither male nor female, believing that gender-based restrictions are too....restricting...for their taste. They enjoy caring for their appearance whilst also fighting off creatures of the cold in the dead of winter, as that is their season of strength due to it being cold enough to harden. Wheelcheese hopes that they can look forward to pleasant company with the new Cheese Egg, which once hatched will be named by Star 'Dally's Wheelcheese', this time watching for Daydream before putting quill to paper.
