Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Eleonora was born into a large clan of dragons. She disliked the crowded space and the struggle with the other dragons to find room to eat, play, and sleep. Disgusted with them, Eleonora decided it was time to take a small brood and travel to a new land. Only one male went with her, but it was enough. She had children of her own that spring that helped to grow their clan. Soon, stragglers from the previous clan grew tired of the overcrowding as well and came to the new location Eleonora named Arborea. Once there, they discovered Eleonora was a firm, but kind leader. She had excellent listening and problem-solving skills, and she made sure there was enough food and water to go around. They often thought of her as their dragon matron because she had a very motherly personality and a calm, soothing voice.
