Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.

There are whispers in small villages by the sea of a snow-white shape drifting through the mountains on clear, cloudless days. Some think it a ghost, others see a more serpentine look to the wispy pieces that almost look like bits of paper floating through the trees. They vanish and reform just as quickly, so most think it an illusion or a trick of the eye. Perhaps a reflection off of some far-off object.

But there are those who whisper quietly the name Shinwazome. A delicate and unique spirit of a dragon who was unwilling to leave his mountain home unguarded after death. They say that he inhabited a paper scroll and, when there is a clear sunny day, one might spot Shinwazome circling the villages, keeping them safe from harm.
