Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Male Silvers hunt and eat meat. While not as beautiful or radiant as females, silver males possess better physical attributes, such as strength.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

On one of his hoarding sprees, Shoogle came to raid the towns and castles of Ireland, fighting the defending humans until they were dead or on the run. In the treasury of one of these castles, among jewels, crowns and gilded swords, he found... two silver dragon eggs! Astonished and full of wrath that the humans had something like this in their possession, he let out a wall-crumbling roar. Carefully he picked up the two eggs, and returned home with them to his good wife Nifty.

Shawe was the first to hatch of these eggs. He became a true boy, adventurous, troublesome, and a handsome young fellow as well. He is courteous to all ladies, but his heart truly belongs to Caithrin, his beloved wife. He may talk a lot and is full of rubbish, and completely lack hunting skills, but he's a peaceful, loving lad and fortunately his 'twin brother' Sheane doesn't mind sharing his meals with Shawe and his family.
