Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Strykus is an explorer at heart. While he returns to the Dusk Divide Dragon Keep nests every few years out of obligation, he enjoys himself the most scouring ruins and raiding for valuables, both material and intellectual. He usually brings these treasures back to the Keep to share, though it's rumored he has several hideouts of the best trinkets scattered throughout Keep territory for only the most intrepid to find, with confusing treasure maps that hint at their location. His wit and intelligence has garnered him respect with the cleverer dragons of the Keep, namely Zaliss the black dragon and Ordin the magi, the latter whom he trades spell scrolls with often.
