Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

When she was but an egg, humans took Mestitia from her nest, intending to keep her as a pet. Mestita hatched into a life full of misery: they kept her in shackles, which gave her small scars around her muzzle, forelegs, hind legs, tail, and neck, and only fed her scraps—which was the only food the humans had. As she began to grow, the humans realized she was growing far too big to be kept any longer. She was released from her bonds and thrown into the wild. She barely knew how to speak or hunt, and grew very weak in her solitude until she ran into Tutaminis, a Guardian dragon. He was kind to her, feeding her and keeping her safe, and soon she fell in love with him. They now live together as mates in a small cave in the forests.
