Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Borograve is larger than most of his species, though not necessarily more brave. He is easily distracted by lights, particularly the neon sort. His part of the cave is decorated in colorful streamers and littered with rainbow glitter. Many holes have been made in the ceiling and then covered with a sheet of glass roughly the same size to let sunlight in to make his cave 'come alive with sparkle'. Boro is very protective of his possessions, almost to the point of being miserly about them.
