Nhiostrife Wyverns are one of the few known breeds of wyvern with more than one set of wings. Because of their four wings, Nhiostrifes are very nimble in the air and control their movements with ease. When it’s mating season, males put on a very beautiful and unique air dance in an attempt to charm a female. The amount of stripes on their wings vary, with more stripes being more attractive, although most have only two to four. Their general attitude is very passive and curious—they only fight if they or their families are in danger.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Phosphorian was born to a pack of mainly female Nhiostrife Wyverns. Her pack lived in a large cave, riddled with tunnels and underground springs. Phosphorian grew to be a queen, which was a dragon that cared for eggs and hatchlings. The rank was not her choice, but she was pleased with it. She loved watching her close ones' offspring grow into strong and healthy pack members.

Phosphorian also got to go out every month in search of abandoned eggs she could take back to the cave and raise herself. There weren't many of those, but she once found a pile of neglected eggs, containing two Storm dragons, a Spirit Ward dragon and a Sunset dragon.

Sadly, the Spirit Ward egg never made it; however, the others all grew into kindhearted contributors to the Nhiostrife pack.

Phosphorian is yet to find a mate but longs for offspring of her own that she could raise to be just like the many other hatchlings she brought up.
