When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zeffy, like a few others of her breed, prefers to live in the salty, warm waters of the ocean. She is fiercely protective of the ocean and all its wildlife and will react strongly if she sees anyone polluting it. (She once swept a tourist into the water for throwing a tissue into the ocean, but forgave him and rescued him in the end.)<br/>Zeffy does not have a mate at the moment. Although she is friendly to all the dragons she meets, they never show interest in her, nor is she very interested in them.<br/>Her hobbies include playing with dolphins and diving deep into the ocean to explore its mysterious depths. So far, she has yet to find anything special on her expeditions.
