Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

What is little understood about this particular dragon is his partiality to scarves and his corner of the cave that is strewn about with them, some even hanging from the rocky ceiling. Currently though, as the sun ricochets off the rippling ocean, he seems to forge himself out of the luster, whipping up ocean spray with his chatoyant wings. Yet, just as any possession of solidity seems non existent in his scales, so too is any aspect of his past. No one in the clan is ever sure where Krepuscule came from and the alterations he makes to his story don't help.

Having been scarred by the cataclysmic events that involved both him and Awvent before they each found their own way inadvertently to the Zestragan clan, Krepuscule knows Skysm's suspicion is growing. Soon, he decides, he will clarify his past, regardless of the consequences.
