Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Because she was raised by very kind and nurturing dragons of her owner, Hazava is very calm and kind compared to Saraigina, another female Hellfire Wyvern. Hazava stays in the same cave as her and sees what bad temper Saraigina has. Hazava usually stays out of her way and normally doesn't stay in the cave for long. She has to hunt for herself and for Saraigina so that she wouldn't try to harm her. The food providing is almost like paying rent and Hazava feels it's a very good bargain. She is an excellent huntress and Saraigina doesn't require much food for she hunts for prey herself.

Hazava hides her kindness around Saraigina because of her tormenting ways and Hazava doesn't want to fall as a victim to the vicious female so doesn't help the animals or dragons escape from her grip. Most of the time.
