Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ami Tenshi can usually be found be found hovering on a cloud above the other dragons of the clan beside her mate Hi Yumu Tenshi, where they keep watch over the hatchlings, making sure that they don't cause too much trouble, and to protect them.  They work in tandem to protect the eggs and hatchlings from intruders, sending any who dare enter deep into a daydreaming trance, from which they will not be roused until one of the warriors come and remove them far from the clan.  She is a doting mother figure, and enjoys telling stories to the hatchlings from her cloud, as her mate listens in amusement.  At times, however, she gets lost in daydreams of her own, and her mate is the only one who can rouse her.  They are devoted to each other, and are rarely far from each other.  At night, they retreat to their own cave in the network, sleeping curled up around each other.  The other dragons admire her gentle nature, and defer to her when they need advice.
