Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Caleb Brady is bright, cool, and actually has come to terms with his color, unlike Stone Note. He was tormented for being pink as a hatchling, but after awhile, he learned to accept it and move on. Caleb likes to play with the hatchlings and often does so. He enjoys the company of Jade Sunshine. He has his son (who he influenced to be a boy) Jacob Brady to worry about. He doesn't understand his shy nature, and the two never seem to click. However, he and Timmy Brady, his frozen pink son, are always having fun and totally understand each other. They are like two peas in a pod. Caleb is very overprotective father of his daughter Lyla Brady. He likes the man she selected, Zeke Ark, but he doesn't trust the world to care for her properly. Caleb makes a lot of unexpected visits.
