Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Shyieldar was constantly looking out for danger even in the most peaceful places using his sharp eyes. The guardian dragon had spines running from between his curved horns to below his wings, getting larger as the spikes reached the middle of his back and then smaller as it reaches below his wings. Though he had broad wings, he could be very flexible when flying through a forest. His spikes, breast plate, wings' membrane and shield-shaped tail glister under the sun like silver.
Like a guard dog, Shyieldar had been loyal and sometimes even quite overprotective ever since a hatchling. His light shield-shaped tail enabled him to deflect almost any of the gray dragon's attacks. He had also always tried to be in front of all and freeze when he hears the slightest sound out of place, straining his ears. He could sense if anyone was going to attack by seeing how tense they are or how do they react to anything.
