Sunstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. Their social structure resembles a lion pride, with one dominant male and several females banded together with their young. They prefer arid climates where they can blend in and dig for minerals and gemstones that they not only collect, but eat. The more gems they consume, the larger their tail stone grows. They are an aggressive breed; it is not uncommon to see two males battling for mates and territory.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sun of None is a stubborn female Sunstone dragon. When she intends to do something, she will do it well, not cutting corners or avoiding tasks. However, when Sun doesn't want to do something, absolutely nothing will make her change her mind. This has earned her a mixed reputation among the other dragons. Some describe Sun as 'determined', others call her 'as stubborn as a mule'.

  Sun of None is also fiercely independent. She lives in a medium sized cave in "The Asti Desert" which she has dug out with her own claws. Sun hunts for herself, finds water for herself and cures her own injures. She rarely accepts help from anybody, which can often led to problems, such as the time she had to be cured from eating a cactus despite multiple warnings.  

   Despite her independence and stubbornness Sun of None has a few friends, Dawndust and Duskdust, two Radiant Angel dragons. This pair are the only dragons that she'll take advice from.
