Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Arishka Rosenheart is the queen of the Rosenheart clan. She sits upon a rock outside the cave in a sun beam, and often persuades the hatchlings to run errands for her. While she may be selfish sometimes, Arishka is kind, and will help others when needed. Her heart belongs to Kiana of the Setting Sun, and they often sit outside the cave together, watching the black dragons scare off unsuitable humans from the cave.

Arishka sometimes clashes with Emerald Earthenblood, as Emerald is widely considered to be in a position of authority over the rest of the dragons who live in the cave, but they usually manage to find a way to reconcile their differences, be that through fighting or diplomacy. Arishka, like most dragons, is a fierce fighter, but lacks the experience of Emerald.
