Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

As an enchanted piece of cheese, Smoked Cheddar spends a lot of time trying to avoid being eaten. Eventually, it decided hiding was the best way to do that. After being found and changing locations many times, it is now a master at hiding. It is currently living deep inside a cave where almost nothing can find it.
