Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Being one of the first four dragons in the cave, Full Moon is considered to be one of the wisest dragons in the community and his advice is considered valuable to the younger dragons. His temperament is surprisingly mellow, which causes others to feel at ease around him despite him being a Vampire. His closest friends are his fellow elders Season's Heart and Light, and although he doesn't get along too well with Midnight, they still team up at night to go hunting. Some think his even disposition is due to his advanced age, especially since he hasn't bitten an egg in years. He's been known to try and reign in the chaos the Twin Devils, an Undead duo consisting of a Deep Sea and a Magma, cause on a nightly basis much to his exasperation.
