Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This cheerful creature is the pet of a group of aviators, but he's more than just a mascot. New recruits who dream of riding dragons are set on his back to give them something of an "introductory course" in aerial riding. But it's no easy A! The moment the fledgeling riders are in his saddle he goes into full-out maniac mode, doing loop-de-loops and flips and dives all in rapid succession. Those who fall off him in surprise are caught, laughing, by the professionals and their dragons, a little wiser for the fall, and now understanding that riding a dragon is nothing like riding a horse. However, this lesson in humility doesn't always work. From time to time a student will manage to cling to their seat, raw willpower keeping them in their saddles where gravity would like to see them off. These riders earn much respect from both the dragon and his owners, and almost always go on to become exceptional dragon riders.
