Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Wherever Amana goes there is always joy, spreading to even the most sourest of dragons. Unlike few other abandoned dragons, Amana was left out as a gift for younger DragonKeepers looking for the joy often found in these seasonal times.

When she was younger, Amana loved to traverse the snowcapped hills, searching for frozen lakes and puddles. When finding one, she would pounce and hop around the ice, jumping and twirling in the air in a dance of happiness. Though there was a few mishaps and bumps, Amana eventually mastered the art of Ice Dancing.

Every winter, in the cold and icy lands, Amana would hop amongst the flakes of ice, performing a dance on the frozen lakes and bringing joy for all who would stop to watch her.
