Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Herald came to the clans as a hatchie from the far away land of Lantea. Ages had passed since the human caretaker Herk had done the caretaker of that land, Pegasus, a small favour. But what had been nothing more than a simple act of kindness was well remembered by Pegasus and "her" dragons, and Herald was sent as an ambassador to ensure future goodwill between the clans.

Herry takes his role very seriously and not only has he taken a mate inside his new clan, but he and Jeannie send out their little ones to act as ambassadors to other friendly clans and their caretakers, spreading the benevolent spirit of community wherever they go.
