Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nalt came to Rekha's lands as a rescued hatchling, she had been branded an inbred dragon with the disgraceful brand of -nb which was meant to signify that she would never be able to mate. Of course, this saddened her. It wasn't her fault what her ancestors had done to her, but she accepted her fate as it had been handed her and joined the Black Guard as a simple grunt.. meant to do all of the grunt work and always told to be happy with it. Whenever she got out of line the pure bred blacks of the Black Guard always reminded her how different her fate truly could have been had Rekha not decided to rescue her as a hatchling.
