It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Kore is the resident thief and con artist of The ARBL's part of the cave. Everything that this kleptomaniac wants must become hers, as she is very good at getting it. A master of persuasion and manipulation, Kore can get herself in and out of a tight situation faster than you can say "THIEF!". Fewer of her cavemates fall for her odd schemes and cons nowadays than when they first met her, and when something goes missing, it's generally assumed that Kore knows where it is. Nonetheless, The ARBL has been forced to sort out dozens of petty thefts in neighboring caves conducted by Kore, and many think that she may have empathy problems, considering her complete disregard for the feelings of the (previous) owner of whatever she's stolen. She does have a few good friends, though—Redshrike, Litill, and Greeni- who do their best to keep her out of other dragons' hoards.
