Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sakurako is quiet and reserved but watches the world around her with childlike wonder and compassion. She often retreats into the tunnels connecting Damian's Island clan to the Crater clan in order to escape from stress or anxiety or to simply dwell on her own thoughts. It is rare for her to interact with her fellow dragons without prompting. Despite her tendency to remain underground, she loves flowers, and has decorated her personal den within the tunnels with the petals and blossoms of anything she can get her claws on. She will often emerge as the sun begins to descend towards the horizon and take in the sunset before hiding away again for the night.
