It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Byzi (her nickname) is a wonderful dragon with all the traits of a likeable companion. She always acts cool, even when under a ton of pressure. She's kind to everyone she comes across, having even mated to the infamous leviathan Tideweaver, Great White. She's even a charitable soul, giving food to those less fortunate than her. It's safe to say there isn't a soul out there that hates Byzi... well, almost. She has a rough relationship with the Spitfire, Bullet, but literally no one has any idea what their history is, why they treat each other as they do, or when it all happened. Neither is willing to talk about it, so the world is left in the dark. In any case, Byzi is widely declared a beloved figure around her home, and she is honored by the title. She may be a little too perfect, though...
