Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

More than "slightly" bitter, Slightly is a black dragon with a heart as withered as the most putrid of fruit. Born an orphan, Slightly never managed to recuperate from her early abandonment as an egg, even after she was adopted into her current residence. She became highly resentful of the other hatchlings and their privileged heritages, both despising and envying their happiness. Even when given attention by other dragons, Slightly would recoil and lash out in anger, believing that any affection was simply a ruse to humiliate her. She quickly became narcissistic and vengeful, scheming to dispatch the other females in the cave to fuel her own shallow ego. Thankfully, she is a plotter and not a fighter, and the other dragons in the cave do well to keep her in check.
