Speckle-Throated Dragons are an active, playful breed. They are easily excited and rarely remain still, spending much of their time in the air. Living in groups of up to sixty dragons, they nest in open plains and at the bases of mountains. Their speckled throats are their most distinctive feature, as well as the loud, echoing call they produce to communicate with one another. Male Speckle-Throats have a small crest on top of their heads, which they can flush with blood to intimidate enemies and attract mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blush is pretty adventurous, much like the rest of his family. He has that same, running mentality of helping those in need no matter the cost, but Blush takes it in a bit of a different direction. He's very close with his grandfather, Goshenite the White Dragon, who is a skilled healer and will take in and care for injured dragons. Blush heavily admires and is inspired by his grandfather, to the point where he has become his assistant. Though lacking in healing skills himself, Blush will frequently run errands for Goshenite. He'll collect certain herbs and ingredients, escort injured dragons to his home, bring him food during sessions that run well into the night, and even just keep him company when his wife is out hunting. The two have a pretty tight relationship, and Blush loves the feeling of helping others. He is a bit on the clumsy side, though, and sometimes gets into trouble with his sister while out hunting with her. They both tend to get in over their heads.
