Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon is a member of the Second Set of Trio dragons in his cave, along with Zapdosspark and Moltresfire. Unlike the other two Sets, these three are all extremely prideful and rarely cooperate without a lot of coaxing and bribery by their owner. So far, their few attempts to summon the fabled Guardian of Nature, or "Beast of the Sea", as they call it, have been unsuccessful. His personality is as chilling as his scales, he never warms up to anyone, and never outright insults others, but he finds clever ways of wording his put-downs so that one doesn't realize anything unkind was said until after he's gone. He believes himself vastly superior in intelligence, and is often caught scoffing derisively at others' expense, even if it turns out that he's wrong.
