Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Taithira is ususally called Tai, simply because she cannot stay still and it is usually easier to get her attention with her abbreviated name. Tai is not known for her patience. She is known to be the fastest dragon on land amongst the Thira Clan, and is usually on one of the hunting parties. She can outrun most prey animals, which makes her a valuable hunter, but suffers from her light bone structure and light scales, which afford little protection from wounds sustained in battle or while hunting.
