Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Over the centuries, the storms that sweep his world are becoming more and more violent. Many are beginning to fear that the end of their world is coming due to the fierce nature of these massive tempests. To stabilize the weather and prevent disaster, several Storm Dragons formed what is known as the Great Weather Manipulation Project (GWMP). Centuries before GWMP was founded, Sapan saw the need for it. He attempted to raise a group similar to GWMP in his home Cave. To some extent, he succeeded. Still, Sapan's group of thirteen dragons was too small to make a differece on their own. When one of the members returned home after a recruitment trip to a larger Cave, he reported about the existence of GWMP. Sapan immediately moved his small group to the GWMP headquarters and the entire team dedicated themselves to GWMP.
