Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As far as Eminence is concerned, he is lord of the mountain, king and high ruler of all the dragons who make their homes there, whether they live under Lurhstaap's care or roam wild within the borders of the surrounding Breedery-claimed land. Given that he and his sister Resplendence are relative newcomers to the Breedery, this claim has been met with reactions ranging from eye-rolls to disgruntled grumbles to complete disregard. The least respectful are the Desipis clans, in particular the powerful Clan Vorare, who acknowledge no authority save themselves. But since Eminence is usually busy either admiring his hoard of treasure or flying off somewhere to hunt for more treasure to add to said hoard, violence has not yet broken out over the issue. He's not around often enough to really irritate anyone. A few dragons actually do respect Eminence and his claims. Most of these are females who would like to mate with him, though.
