Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Furdri is a Generation Two hatchling. What that means is he does not have a -name- like most of the other dragons, because he was born after the Royal Decree was passed, which outlawed all of those sorts of names.

Furdri is a friendly young dragon, but a bit of a snob. He loves playing with his other frozen brothers and sisters, but he tends to be a bit rough. This rough nature of his often leads to minor injuries, which are treated by Ketsi, another hatchling of the scroll. Ketsi has her own white-dragon stick, which she calls her squiggle stick. Furdri is used to being poked by the squiggle stick, which Ketsi says has "magical healing powers."

Even though Kesti and Furdri aren't much alike, they are very good friends. In fact, although their natures are quite diffrent, they seem to almost read each others minds. Their parents joke that their clutches must have been mixed up at birth, and that Furdri and Ketsi are actually brother and sister.
