Considered heralds of ill fortune, Omen Wyrms are usually found in areas previously ravaged by disaster or strife, blending in amongst the foliage. Due to the unique appearance and texture of their bodies, they often pass as dead trees as they wait for unsuspecting prey. Their haunting cry—like that of a hollow-sounding horn—is a sure signal to run: it is always followed by the dragons’ furious wrath, which manifests in the form of fiery cascades. Escape from an Omen Wyrm is possible, however; it is said they will not dare follow their quarry across running water, no matter the cause of their vexation.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Comartaguen was the only dragon to be seen in the entire wasteland for a very, very long time. The humans came first, and then the dragons followed, all of whom fear her fiery wrath yet pity her as well. She'll wander the lands, sometimes recoiling at some boundary only she knows, eating whenever hungry with no remorse or thought for the creature she's made her prey. Sometimes she howls and sobs, "I only did as he asked, I only did as he asked, when your king asks you to do something, you do it, I only did as he asked..." The arcana Lauhada sees Comartaguen as a blessing to her studies of the ruins in the desert, but the omen wyrm pays heed to no one outside of her mental realm or who she doesn't deem to be prey at the time. All that can be guessed is that a king asked her to do something she deeply regrets, in an age when the wasteland was a thriving civilization, or at least, something more than a hellscape.
